Impalas vs. Davenport Univ.

A tough loss to the nation’s #1 collegiate team, Davenport University, this past weekend. Although Indy held a 14-7 lead at halftime, conditioning and old age proved to be the downfall to the younger and very well organized Panthers (old, of course, meant in the most endearing way). Fortunately for the club, there is a promising group of young athletes that joined the Impalas last Fall and this Spring, and expectations are high for the near future. The Impalas are preparing for a rebuilding match versus Anderson University and it’s the best time for new and young players, even with no experience, to join the club. It’s all about learning from each other and from our experienced and proven Kiwi coach Paul “Fatty” Greener. We hope to see many faces at training this week and in Anderson this weekend.

This Weekend’s match vs. AU is at 1 pm. Meeting place will be Broad Ripple McDonalds at 10:30 am.

Impalas @ Columbus

The Impalas are on the road this week for a must win match vs. Columbus. Indy has lost it’s first 3 straight division match-ups and has left no room for mistakes in their remaining schedule. The importance of commitment to training and traveling with good numbers has never been more prevalent. The team has shown it’s growth and potential with the help of new Kiwi coach Paul Greener, but have not found the fitness to put their new skills to use for a full 80 minutes.

All players, new and old, it’s time to dig deep and pull together for what can still be a playoff run. Training begins at 6 pm, but the effort to get out at 5:30 will allow for a stronger start.

Departure for Columbus
- Sat, 9/24 @ 7:30 am. from TBA
